  • Our hourly rates are as follows (plus gst):

    Ongoing (weekly, biweekly, monthly) - $45

    One Time - $47.50

    Deep Clean - $50

    Move In/Out Clean - $50

    These rates are per cleaner. If you’ve got a big job, and you need 2 cleaners for 4 hours, you’ll be charged 8 hours. Minimum session is 1 cleaner for 2 hours.

  • We provide cleaning services in Langley, Aldergrove, Abbotsford, Mission & Chilliwack.

    Unfortunately, due to current staffing shortages, we are only able to provide service in Surrey east of the 184th St and Highway 10 boundaries. If you’re close to this area, feel free to contact us.

  • Yes, that’s part of what makes Team Toews’ service exceptional and personal! It is important to us that you establish a friendly and trusting relationship with your cleaner. As they become more familiar with your space, their cleans will become more efficient and more in tune with your regular rhythms. On the occasion that something prevents your cleaner from providing your service, we will be in contact with you about a replacement cleaner or rescheduling.

  • Credit, debit, and e-transfer are our acceptable forms of payment. Credit card payments are subject to the processing fee (3.5%). If you wish to pay by cheque or have our finance department automatically charge your credit card each time, you may make arrangements at the time of your booking.

    If you are paying by e-transfer, please make sure you include the invoice number in the message/notes or that your e-transfer name matches the information in our billing system.

    All clients are required to provide a credit card for our records OR sign up for auto-debit to secure their scheduled cleaning spot. Payment in any form is required within five days of the services provided or receipt of invoice. Team Toews Cleaning Co. will automatically charge the clients account after five business days if another form of payment has not been received.

    If a client does not have a card on file to charge automatically, any invoices left outstanding past 10 days will have a 5% late payment fee charged. This does not apply to larger companies that pay by cheque according to their account cycle.

    Team Toews Cleaning Co. reserves the right to refuse future services when an outstanding balance is due.

  • Tips are not an expected part of compensation for Team Toews Cleaning Co. employees, but are very much appreciated.

    Tips can be added to any form of payment but with the exception of cash and e-transfer, this must be communicated before a debit or credit card payment is processed. For e-transfers, just add the tip straight to your payment. 100% of the tip goes directly to your cleaner.

  • Yes! All we’ll ask for is the use of your vacuum cleaner. If you have special requests, like septic-friendly or natural products, we will ask you to provide those products for the cleaner to use.

  • There are some tasks that are easier with tougher products. However, if you have any concerns about certain chemicals or allergens, you may absolutely talk to your cleaner and provide them with alternative all-natural products to use.

  • We request that instead of giving us a key, you provide a lock box or electronic key code for entry into your home and/or office. You can place your lock box somewhere permanently and notify our team of where to find it on the day of scheduled service.

    If you own an alarm system, it is your responsibility to share that information with Team Toews Cleaning Co. and/or your cleaner beforehand. Team Toews Cleaning Co. is not held liable for fees associated with activating your alarm. Our cleaners will do their best to alert owners if the alarm is triggered.

    If it’s necessary for the cleaner to keep a key, Team Toews Cleaning Co. will safeguard the client key(s) at all times. The key(s) provided by the client will be handled by the owner or the cleaners on the date of service(s) or if an ongoing cleaning is arranged to be held in safekeeping with the cleaner/owner. Lost key(s) will be reported to clients immediately. If a key is reported as lost, Team Toews Cleaning Co. will provide $50 to replace any lost key, but is not held liable or responsible to rekey your home or to pay for this to be done.

    If you are not home when the cleaners arrive and have not provided access information in advance, we will contact you and request a way to enter, such as a garage code or hidden key. If the cleaner cannot gain access or is turned away at the door, we will charge you a lockout fee up to 100% of the full cost of the cleaning to compensate our cleaners for the lost time. Our one time grace/forgiveness policy can be used in this circumstance.

  • If any person in the home during the time of the scheduled cleaning service is experiencing active illness symptoms such as fever or vomiting/diarrhea, Team Toews Cleaning Co reserves the right to terminate services on site and charge the full price for the scheduled clean.

    It is the responsibility of the client to communicate with our office or their individual cleaner(s) ahead of time if there are active illness symptoms in the home and you would like to remain sequestered to one area and still have your cleaner(s) come. We allow our individual cleaners to make judgement calls according to their personal comfort and risk levels in these cases.

    If your scheduled cleaner(s) is demonstrating illness symptoms that prevent them from working at full capacity and they call in sick, we will do our best to offer a substitute or reasonable reschedule.

  • Team Toews Cleaning Co. requires:

    48 hours notice for any non-emergent cancellations or alterations to your scheduled clean.

    24 hours notice due to illness or emergencies (please know we use a lot of common sense here)

    14 days notice to cancel or freeze all cleaning services.

    Any cancellation notifications that fall short of the required time will be subject to a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is half of the time of the scheduled clean or a two hour minimum whichever is more, to cover the cost of our cleaner’s scheduled time.

    All Team Toews Cleaning Co. recurring clients get one “free pass” per year to use for any cancellations, lock outs, or rescheduling fees they might incur.

  • Team Toews Cleaning Co. is closed for the following statutory holidays:

    New Year’s Day

    Easter Monday

    Victoria Day

    Canada Day

    BC Day

    Labor Day

    Truth and Reconciliation Day
    Thanksgiving

    Remembrance Day

    Christmas Day

    Boxing Day

    We are closed for all operations between December 25 and January 1st (or the latest day in lieu of the stat).

  • Any cleans scheduled for stat holidays are automatically cancelled (not bumped to the following week) except in rare cases communicated ahead of time with clients. We will do our best to accommodate schedule changes due to stats when they are requested with enough notice and when we have room in the schedule to do so.

  • If it is your preference that your home not be used for social media before and after photos or the like, please notify us so we can note that on your file. Team Toews Cleaning Co. will never post home identifying information.

  • We would ask that you would please refrain from soliciting any Team Toews Cleaning Co. employee for any work “on the side”. Their employment contract prevents them from doing so during or up to one year after termination of their employment.

  • Yes! We love our friendly furry friends!

    Team Toews Cleaning Co. reserves the right to refuse services on the scheduled date if an animal in the home is considered dangerous or poses any type of threat determined by our staff. Pets left inside the home on the scheduled service date will be protected to the best of our ability. We kindly ask that when possible, pets are kept out of the way of our cleaners as it helps us to do our job most efficiently.

    Team Toews Cleaning Co. will not be held responsible for the behaviour of the pet(s) while the services are being performed or any risks associated with pets and having professional home services.

    Pet messes will be tackled or left at the sole discretion of our cleaner(s).

  • Team Toews Cleaning Co. is licensed, bonded, and insured (except in a few cases where our cleaners are independent contractors). Team Toews Cleaning Co. will take all necessary precautions and care for the cleaning of your home. If there is an area that requires special care and attention in the business or home, it is the client’s responsibility to let Team Toews Cleaning Co. cleaners know and provide specific instructions for them.

    Team Toews Cleaning Co. and/or it’s cleaners are not to be held liable for an property damage or personal injury before, during or after services performed. Clients choose to hire Team Toews Cleaning Co. at their own risk. Team Toews Cleaning Co. is not responsible for damages that occur as a result of normal wear and tear (i.e: the cord snaps on an old and worn out set of blinds just from the normal action of pulling them up). If there are incidental damages caused directly from undue care and attention we are happy to try to come to a fair agreement on how to compensate for these things.
